I use to play a ridiculous amount of sports in high school.
Rugby league, union, reps and still water rowing. They are what first got me into working out simply because i loved sports.
After leaving school I didn't change my diet and was no longer training/playing sport 8-10 times a week so went on that there dreamer bulk, gaining about 15 kg of fat.
When I applied to be a fire fighter I started training again, took me three months to get to the bare minimum of fitness requirements and ever since then I've worked with professional athletes and enthusiasts from former competitive body builders, to sub 9 hour hawaiian triathletes, to former professional foot ball players. It's hard not to get caught up in the storm.
Pushing myself to my limit is amazing, the feeling of being fit with something to work towards is difficult to beat!
I recently did tough mudder and it felt amazing, completing it in under three hours.
I have a Mui Thai kick boxing match in a few months.
Not to mention you can really notice the difference in my two professions (Part time army/ fire fighter) when youre fit as opposed to when youre not.
