When I was in 7th grade, my dad (who used to be well-built back in his prime) always advised that I start working out my body with push-ups and such because he noticed I had a good frame. I did countless push-ups, dumbbell curls, and crunches until my first year of college, where I finally got to work out at a real gym.

I love working out primarily because my body is a temple of God and it is always good to improve it. Working out/training martial arts also greatly boosts my self-esteem and my ego, and I feel that I can protect those that I love much easier. My muscles also get me girls, so that's pretty awesome as well. lol
