It began with sit-ups in December of 2012. Not that I set New Year's Resolutions, but seeing as I had just become a Lifeguard I saw it fit to.. well.. become fit. I continued to use the Runtastic Sit-ups app bi-daily until hitting a record of 500 continuous sit-ups; at which point I decided to evolve to other muscle groups and exercises. I worked out on the Kearny High Komets (Swim team) while continuing my sit-ups and push-ups. Over the following summer, instead of enjoying off season as usual, I joined a public pool swim team and began running, biking, pull-ups, and free weights, all with the attitude that I was either feeling sore or planning to.

Here I am, on bodyspace, after a year of exercise. I am just now beginning to reap the full rewards that working out has to offer. I can feel stronger, sexier, and faster in the water as a result.

I love working out because I enjoy the pain... It's that simple.
