I was always a part of a sport or team since I was young. I grew up being active all year round. Part of the locked outside to play generation. Growing up in California's central valley I was able to hop from one sport to other year round. From competitive swim to cheer to high school Volleyball and track I always stayed busy. My Step-mom introduced me to weights at the gym when I was in high school. I loved feeling strong and breaking my own records. Growing up in a Portuguese family Food is Life, up until High School ended I could, like most, eat whatever & however much I wanted and still stay lean. I married my high school sweet heart and by the time we were 23 we had 3 beautiful children. I packed on over 70 pounds when pregnant with our first born!! Young and dumb I yo-yo'd through the next few years to lose almost all of it jut in time to have our 3rd. I've never really learned how to balance both diet and exercise. I've always gone from one extreme to the other, hard core diet and 2 a days like I'm preparing for a meet only to throw in the towel when results aren't immediate. I've started programs more times than I can count, tried every possible pill, hired trainers and researched the hell out of every possible combination of macros, calories and "magic food" combinations. I'm inspired and in awe of the folks that are committed day in and day out. I'm ready for a change, for a consistent and committed change. No more quick fixes! No more "I'll start on Monday!" No more Last Whoo-Rah's! Its time to start living a life committed to taking care of and improving the one body and the one life that God has given me.
