I first started becoming active my Freshman year of high school when a friend asked me to join the track team with her. And for three years that was my only active period was track season. By my senior year I had started to thin out and decided to take a weight training class with one of my friends. That began the beginning of my true fitness journey. Once I graduated I went on to college and managed to stay remotely active during the first few years. There I met my husband and we became a fit couple. Since getting my degree and starting a job it has become more of a struggle to stay with it but here I am again ready to start again and make it a LIFESTYLE. My husband joined the Air Force and with that we have both become more conscious of our choices and are striving to become that fit couple we were once again.
There are many reasons I love working out. As I've gotten out of shape, seeing results is a big reason, then there is that happy feeling you get once you have completed a workout. I love leg day. I always hear how many people don't care for it and how sore they are after but I live off the soreness. Makes me feel accomplished. Of course I may dread going to the gym some days, but I am always glad I went once I get there. One thing that helps keep me going is telling myself that a lazy or short workout is better than no workout at all.
