Well, it all started after my sophomore year of high school after the football season ended. I was always told I would never be a running back, I'd always be a lineman. After our awards banquet for the 2011 season, I went up to one of the assistant coaches and said "I'm going to come back next season 60lbs lighter, two inches taller, and 2 seconds faster!". He chuckled and said "Nice try. Now, go sign up for lineman camp". I turned around, dumbfounded, and walked over to my car and drove off. I woke up the next day and ran, and ran, and ran some more...I must have gone over 4 miles that one day. I ate my 2000 calories and was sleeping the rest of the day. I followed my routine of running, lifting weights, eating healthily, and sleeping right for 7 months, up until the call out for the 2012 season came around, I think by this time i was around 6'2 195lbs a full 65lbs light and two inches taller just like what I told Coach Douche. My parents and I pulled up to the call out meeting, and the assistant coach was the first to greet us with "Its always nice to see new recruits here!". I said nothing. He stared for a minute then saved the conversation with "My God Nick, you weren't joking. Go over and sit with the other running backs". I said "You know what? I don't think I will". We left, and I never went back. He's missing out on a 188lb, 6'3, Junior RB, with a 5.10 40yd dash and a 375 squat max just because he couldn't believe his best lineman could become his best running back. His loss.
