I "FIRST" got into bodybuilding/ working out my Junior year in high school in late 2002. I took a weightlifting class out of curiosity and for some easy credits haha! I continued throughout my Senior year as I noticed the benefits of looking better, feeling better, increase in confidence and gave me something to do after school. My weight Senior year was 128 lbs. and 8.5% body fat. After graduating and moving in the Summer of 2003 I had no access to weights and didnt want to lose my gains so I improvised with body weight exercises and cinder blocks in the back yard and learned I had to EAT like crazy; slamming 3000-4000 calories/ day. In 8 months a packed on 20 lbs. and soon after invested in a bench and weights. My biggest I've been was 150 lbs. circa late 2006. That was the beginning!
We all have and/ or had our ups and downs. Everyday life consumes us and time flies. I returned to bodybuilding/ working out in April 2013. I was watching tv one afternoon on some basic cable channel and I came across the movie "Stay Hungry" starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. I was fascinated! Then I came across "Pumping Iron" and the rest is history! That film was and still is my ultimate motivation. It was in a way a life saver as I was a withering 132 lbs starting. I asked myself "why did I ever stop?" I fell in love again with fitness! So here I am pumping away 3 days/ week, sometimes more, balancing it with proper dieting and sleep. I have learned so much more in those last 5 months and I have a lot more to learn. As I like to say "Never stop growing!"
