I started while serving in the military. Off an on for twenty years I used weight lifting as a way to stay in shape. When I retired I stopped going to the gym and brought home gym equipment. I found out how easy it is to ignore working out when you are at home versus going to a gym. I did manage to keep in relative good shape but nothing compared to a real workout plan and going to a gym. The last three years I have been part of a team that has a deployment commitment along side the active duty Air Force. Being in good physical condition is back in my life as a necessity and part of a whole body and mind fitness regime.
So now at 59 years old and working along side the young military folks deployed all over the world, I enjoy having fitness as something I can both share with those around me and inspire others folks my age to do the same. Kinda of cool as well to shop and dress in clothes with a modern flair and look good doing so.
