I was chubby growing up. When I was a teenager, I lost weight in very unhealthy ways, and didn't nourish my body. At the age of 23, I decided it was time to work out so that I could be more confident. I went from 157 lbs to 127 lbs in less than 6 months. I worked out 5-6 days a week, sometimes twice daily. I was a member at two different gyms, was a regular a boot camp, zumba, and tried new things like swimming laps and TRX. I even studied fitness and received a personal training certification about 4 years ago. What I realized was that I was never satisfied; I wanted to lose more and more. As the years went by, I began to revert back to my old habits, and I moved to the Brewery Capital of the USA. I slowly gained weight, and after 4 years, my high was 165lbs. I'm turning 30 this year, and even though I've lost 10lbs since my last doctor's visit, and my blood pressure has significantly decreased, I was disappointed to hear that I'm still not considered a "healthy" weight at 155lbs. It was when I got the results of my blood test that I knew I needed to reevaluate my priorities. My doctor told me that my liver enzymes are very high, and I cannot drink for a month and need to retest. I accepted the challenge with open arms, and I immediately searched for a weight loss contest to help keep me on track. Here I go!
I feel like I've accomplished something great after a difficult workout. I want to do amazing things with my body, and I'm excited to see my body transform. I can't wait to see my before and after pictures once I complete this challenge.
