I've been bad about making New Year's resolutions to lose weight for a long time. This year I started the new year with my girlfriend and a roommate both living with me. We all three agreed to start going to the gym and eating healthier. We haven't followed any specific diet and haven't denied ourselves every little thing we like to eat. We are simply making better food choices, taking the tme to look at food labels, asking for baked or grilled food instead of fried. We started together and it made the process much easier. Now we all go to the gym when we can according to our individual schedules, but still manage to go togther every once in awhile. I make a point to try and go no less than 5 days a week.
I love the adrenaline rush I get from working out. I use the treadmilll as my main cardio tool and try to vary what I do everytime I get on it. I try to set new small goals and push myself to see what I have in me to do that day. Weightlifting is definitely my favorite thing to do in the gym though. I love to workout my legs, and triceps or back would have to be the close seconds. I think my biggest motivator is actually seeing and feeling results. I'm starting to see more definition in my triceps and I can definitely tell my skin is tightening up and trying to start closing in around the muscle I'm building.
