I am extremely competitive by nature but Ive never excelled in any particular sport. I began competing in various fitness competitions to keep myself focused on a physical goal. The importance of goal setting is so extremely important that it cannot be overlooked in any fitness program. I know first-hand, the failures and successes that I have had can be tied directly back to how specific and strategic my goals were.
My first competition was the Hawaiian Tropic Model Search in 2007. I placed first in my round and 3rd in the Finals. I have been addicted to fitness competitions ever since. Not only do they reignite my fitness motivation, but I have met so many amazing people through the competitions that I have entered.
In May of 2012 I decided that I wanted to push my physical fitness to the next level. I entered myself into the World Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation competition. I dropped 10lbs and 7% Bodyfat in 9 weeks. I competed in early July 2012 and took 2nd place! It was an experience that was out of this world. I have never been so excited to get back and compete again! I plan to compete again in July 2013 at the WBFF California Championships.
*****UPDATE******
In July of 2013 I competed in the Bikini Model Division of the WBFF California Championships. I won first place and my WBFF Procard! I went on to compete in the WBFF World Competition held in Las Vegas, Nevada at Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino.
