Growing up I was always fascinated by muscles and I didn't know why. As a young child I was always drawing, drawing people with muscles. (I know, I don't think that's completely normal.) Later on, I realized not only how appealing people who had muscles were, but that I also wanted to be one of those people. Meanwhile, I was as skinny as a stick. I hated being called skinny! I know, weird right? Some people couldn't dream of anything better than being called skinny all the time, but not me. Finally one day I decided, "when I turn 18, I'm going to get a gym membership and go get some muscles of my own." I followed through, and I have not stopped improving since. Lots of trail and error, failure after failure, and countless frustrating days of feeling like I have no idea how my body works. Here I am 5 years later, still learning my body, but finally reaping the rewards of success with a physique I could only have dreamed of in the years prior to now.
The principles and lessons I have learned through bodybuilding and training have taught me more life lessons than probably any other single thing, and there's nothing that gratifies me more than being able to teach what I have learned to others seeking success. Like Arnold Schwarzenegger has said "The key thing is to set the goals, do the training, eat the right thing, and you're gonna go and hit those marks and then move the bar higher and move it higher. And that is what differentiates the winner from the loser. and you feel that with hard work you can achieve the goals and you can become successful. And this is the great thing about bodybuilding, because if you get good in that and accomplish your goals you know you can use the same principles for everything else in your life."
I feel such an itch and a passion towards giving back all that I can give form that which I have learned, and with this type of mindset, it makes me always want to do my best. Bodybuilding has taught me the drive, discipline, and determination to always make me push harder and do the very best I can do - in all areas of life. It has strengthened my faith in numerous ways and completely affirmed my belief that living healthy is living right, and I just want to share that so everyone can experience this kind of life.
