I started working out originally in LFAATC Aldershot with a couple friends of mine. I originally had no idea and was actually intimidated by going since I didn't feel I was as strong as others. A friend originally had coaxed me into it and I'll never forget him because he was the first to actually try to get me into it and push me to go further! Any who I managed to adapt fast and took it up as a hobby while I was on the base since there wasn't much to do until I left the base in Oct of that year 2013.
When I got back from base a lot of personal things hit me and went into depression so much I couldn't even be bothered to keep up with what I was doing. Eventually I ended up getting 240 Lbs over weight and had injured my back to the point I couldn't even bend down properly. I had talked with others trying to pick myself up and it worked with a couple of friends but what I found helped a lot was working out. I bought some normal dumb bells and started working out at home trying to push myself with basic weight lifting until I was told I wouldn't be able to go far or that I wouldn't be as strong as others. Naturally I took this as a challenge and had found out studying fitness was a big way to keep me positive. The pain you get from achieving higher weights and getting back in shape was something I grew addicted to so after in January 2014 I bought a membership to a gym and started a workout plan I found on this site. From there I studied more of what I wanted and changed things up little by little finding where my comfort zone was and how to push it further. I got a bigger drive and now realized that this type of lifestyle is what I want and am now training harder to make it a career.
I ended up getting the biggest push when Musclepharm started giving out year of free protein and winning that to get a beginner contract I felt amazing after only lifting for one year! now I'm working as a Personal Trainer for the biggest gym in Moncton, New Brunswick, Mapleton Goodlife. I'm hoping to grow further not just with personal training but also working with Musclepharm. The end goal is to become sponsored by them as well as work as a motivational speaker!

I love to work out simply because it's where I can find inner peace. Its where I can work out and push myself to my limits and get rid of any form of negativity in my body and see what I truly want to do. If I could find a place to work out all day and get paid where I live I would love to do it! Until then I will continue to do it for free and continue to get in great shape!
