Like most people I began working out to stay on top of my weight and to be around for my children as long as I could. I have always been a big man but I wasn't as healthy as I should have been. When I first started working out it was at the YMCA and the only issue I was having there was that there was no one around to help push me. At work I noticed 2 guys consistently hitting the gym and one day one of them told me that I should tag along, it was a wrap from there. There had been enough synergy between the group that I was pushing beyond my limits in no time, the challenges were increasing and the gains were great. With this being my new thing I immediately started to see a massive distribution of weight, fat to muscle movement was great and the amazing thing was when my wife commented on the change and agreed. Now this is what I do with a LIFT CREW of 7 in an old warrior (USMC) gym..., and there isn't a damn thing fancy in there, just dirty weights and a lot of sweat.
For me bodybuilding is great due to the time in which I lift and the results that I get from working out. I lift in the middle of the day so it helps break up the work day. As long as I get in early enough I know that I am going to get that time in the gym and still be able to get out of work at a decent time. Time is one of the more important things that we have and being able to take that time for myself and have it not impact my family time is important. Additionally becoming healthy and being around for them in the future is even more important.
