I was really interested in athletics and fitness as a young adult. I had early growth spurts and was almost 6ft and around 70kg around 13-14 years old. As such I always had success in strength related athletics. I had lower coordination levels due to being so tall so young and I ended up in athletics to help build my coordination and fitness. I ended up as an athletics captain at my school and still continue to work out to this day. I no longer compete and I now focus on building my physique.
I think that by eating healthy and being active you can be happy. Going to the gym and lifting weights builds on my own self confidence and allows me to feel better about myself. I am also fit enough to engage in most any physical activity that I might want to try out and I try not to be limited by my body in any way. Every day I work to be a little bit better, a little bit leaner, a little bit stronger, a little bit faster. Every little bit counts.
