I was in the middle of planning my wedding with my fiancee. I was constantly fatigued, irritable, and sick and tired of being overweight. I had lost quite a bit of weight before her and I started dating, but all of it, and more, piled on throughout the course of our three year relationship. She does triathlons, marathons, and things involving general fitness just for fun - and there I am, awkwardly cheering her on from the sidelines, too ashamed to be too out in the crowd, and definitely too out of shape to be running with her.
November 2015 I made a commitment to myself; to get into the best shape I've ever been in. I started doing the Paleo Diet, and immediately started losing weight. Carbs have always been a go-to food for me, so eliminating them completely gave me a great head start. After losing 70 pounds, but still having a ways to go, I started incorporating exercise along with my diet. BAM! My mood is wonderful, I feel so much better, and I'm starting to really enjoy the way I look.
At first I dreaded working out; now I can't wait!
Added perk; I looked so much better in our wedding photos than I did our engagement photos, and went down three tuxedo sizes before the big day.
