I've been off and on since 2003. I was always pretty weak, and at first lifting weight intimidated me, because of the fatigue and soreness i'd get from even lifting 5 lbs. After a while though, my strength increased, and the gains, plus the workouts, became intoxicating.
Ever since my separation last year, I have been in a bit of a funk from time to time. Always starting and stopping my workouts. I have my stepchildren full time now and used to use that as an excuse for not going to the gym. Well, it's not fair to the kids or to myself when using that excuse. I have now been at it almost every day since the beginning of April 2014, and hope to be below 10% body fat by the end of the summer. My one hurdle will be nutrition as it is tough being the sole provider for 3 children and eating the proper foods to see my goal come to fruition, but I can do it if I put my mind to it!
