I've been active in fitness and working out most of my life. My different season included:
Teen years - Wrestling and Baseball; Very little weights and some running
20's - An interest in running took off. I started with a 5K, worked up to a half marathon and several marathons
30's - I got bored with running and began in triathlons. Started with a sprint and then in 2002, I did Ironman Wisconsin. I eventually did another marathon, and then got hooked on P90X when I was 38.
40's - I did variations of P90x, did a little Insanity and picked up running again more often but never seriously. A little more than one month before I turn 43, I attended the Oklahoma City Classic 2013 and was motivated to give this a shot!
It's gotta be the endorphines. I tend to be hyperactive still even at my age, and it's a great way to work that through my system! Whenever the mini-tire begins to show around my middle and my pants are tighter, a little bit o' depression will hit. While I'm working on my mental game and improving my walk with Jesus Christ ... I want my physical attributes to be as fit as everything else about me. I'm not going to grow old in a typical American male manner!
