I was involved in a roll over car accident on May 5th of 09. I'm sure you could have guessed it was by a drunk driver. I suffered from several injuries from the accident. None of them were too bad. I was able to walk away from the accident. But i did have chronic pain and weakness in my shoulder and hip. I had to strengthen up those muscles to get full range of movement again. But i still had pain. I thought i was just going to have to deal with it. I didn't do much working out because of the pain. At least not until my grandfather died. He was a WW2 Veteran. I was used to seeing him a strong and powerful man. But as i looked at him on his death bed, he was so very weak. When he past i knew i had to take better care of myself. I wanted to get into shape. So i just started with the weights i had lying around. I pushed through the pain. I am still pushing and still craving strength.
