It all started with running - about 2.5 years ago. I still to this day truly enjoy running but have incorporated lifting, strength training, and HIIT more than I ever have in my life. In January 2013, I began my ultimate lifestyle transformation. I began with routines that were total body conditioning and got myself ready to start lifting and hitting the weight room in March. Since January, I have also completely altered my eating habits and relationship with food. Yes, I have a relationship with my food - ha - I strongly believe food fuels your body, especially when you're working out hard. It has been a LONG process since January and I am still altering my eating habits to see what fits best for my body. I am excited to continue and see how far I can actually take this - it's truly become a passion of mine.
One thing I have learned throughout this process that really sticks out is that the body is SO fascinating; truly, you can transform and become anything you want to be, someone you've never dreamed of being. I hear and see so many people who say they can't run, they can't eat healthy because it's hard, they can't commit to working out daily or even weekly and the truth is, with that attitude you're probably right. My mind and my body don't always agree, but I make damn sure to get them on the same page and push through the struggles I face throughout this journey. I believe down to my core that anyone is capable of achieving their greatness, whatever that may be.
