I want to stay fit and build as much muscle and strength as is possible for an older man.
Goal (Long):
I'm naturally ecktomorphic and will always be, due to my genes. But I am pretty hard and strong for my age (72). I want to continue to do regular workouts in the gym with weights and machines as well as cardio, thereby to develop more strength, endurance and muscle.
One can get too easily sidetracked in life by a preoccupation with things that are of secondary importance. I've spent quite a bit of time in these blogs dealing with my desire to test strength and to armwrestle. Those are underlying desires within me, but they are not of utmost importance. ...

To be the best armwrestler, train with people all sizes. I hope you can find some good people to train with.
Hey how many armwrestling competitions have you done? I compete, too. It's really cool that you're competing at your age. A lot of guys your age just stumble around in pain all the time and say they're too old to do things, and I think that's sad. I don't know where you live, but there's a guy named Norm Devio who is really good, he lives in Massachusetts, and he's I think 68 or 69 years old. Also I know there was somebody in their 80's at the 2008 World Championships.
Good luck!
David--
Thanks for staying in touch and for the kind words; you are a great friend indeed and good for my ego:-) Also good to see some new (and awesome) bi pix. We "Old Farts" are still hanging in!

Hi I'm running a new local amateur bodybuilding competition and was wondering if you or anyone you know might be interested. Heres a link to the contest's poster.

Your most recent photo post is absolutely amazing. That added 1/2" to your biceps is visual proof that your hard work is paying off. You are an inspiration for all "seniors" and "ecto's". Thanks!!!
I have known Dave for a year or so now and must say, at age 70, he has one of the best attitudes re: fitness & bodybuilding I have ever experienced. IMHO, bigger is not always better and as an ecto, he is truly amazing - and with awesome biceps. I wish you the best for continued success.
