Overall Goal: A major case of tendonitis in both elbows and my right shoulder has caused me limited ability in my weight training over the last 18 months. This site is to document my 'comeback' as I regain my fitness level and go beyond. I want to get healthy ag
Fit Status:
Trying to bulk - a hardgainer's nightmare
I started my first year in high school. I joined the wrestling team where I had a significant amount of success on a national level up until I was about 24. I developed osteoarthritis, at which point I had to give up wrestling. I was able to focus more on strength training the last 12 years or so also due to my need to limit 'impact sports' activities. I've been limited in the last 18 months to my lifting capabilities due to a serious case of tendonitis in both elbows and my right shoulder. This page is dedicated to my journey back....
Why I Love It:
Everyone who works out knows how good they feel mentally and physically when on a good program. I like the way I looked when I was healthy and want to look good for my wife. It also eases the pain of my arthritis and I want to set a good example for my kids. It's also important to me that I be healthy so I can be active for the later years in my life.
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated by setting small goals for myself, trying to constantly improve and be as strong and look as good as possible.
Here I am starting on day one. I've worked out intensely for over 20 years, and have continued to work out for the last year and a half in spite of a number of injuries and health related issues. Because of those issues, I'm in the worst shape of my life. This site is to track my progress back.

Goal (Long):
I want to lose the bodyfat I've put on and gain at least 10 pounds of new muscle. I'm an ectomorph that has a hard time putting on muscle, but I want to be injury free and get back to the ability to train with the intensity I was once able to. I don't need to be big, but I want muscle and I want to look like I used to...
Weight Goal:
I want to GAIN 12 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
8%

Well, the last few months I've been bulking and it's been going well. I'd added a few pounds of lean muscle mass which is a big deal for an extremely hard gainer like myself.
The problem is that over the last month or so, I've been unintentionally doing some dirty bulking. I've been on...
Yeah, I was on the thin side and took three shakes a day and you can see by my last winter prog pics gained mass but my bf went way up. I know to gain mass you will gain some fat in the process but I've been trying a lean gain with cycling my carbs and doing shorter mass gaining cycles. I also have found using whey and casien protien is just as good combined with a good diet. Keep up the great work man.
Looking awesome man, chest is really shaping up. Hey watch the cyto gainer its good stuff but I gained way too much BF last winter using it. I'm sticking to a leaner gain and shorter mass gaining cycles.
great looking, man.I get back with my training after 4 weeks off because elbow inflammation.the recovery isn't complete, but I'm on the right way.best wishes with your recovery.take care.EROS
hey I was just cruising sites noticed your problem with the elbow try bring your seat closer when you drive it might not hurt but it can over extend your tendons making recovery impossible
Hey man, you have done some awesome work lately! Abs look great! But you need to change your states, I'm sure your bf% isn't 17 anymore lol! Anyway, it's cool that we have the same height and weight. Hope your injuries heal soon.
