When I Started:
May, 2009
How I Started:
I started at Incirlik Air Base gym in Turkey when I was 22. I've never made a goal for myself to compete so I haven't been super low on body fat like the competitors. I may like to try that.
Why I Love It:
I feel so much better when I work out. I have much more energy. I look better and I am a good influence on my adult children.
How I Stay Motivated:
Reading articles and looking at other people's gains, being around others that want to be healthy, thinking about how I feel so good when I'm fit, remembering the cute clothes I can wear when I'm fit.
Current goals: Be in contest shape by March 2010 for a photo shoot and contest. To get my healthy body back and show my children it can be done. Be a good influence for them. Wear cute clothes again. I love feeling so light when I'm in shape. I work out 6 days a week. Tu, Th, Sat weights. Wed, Fri, Sun cardio.
This member is definitely dedicated to health and fitness. I am motivated to keep training and eating clean!!!!!!! As a matter of fact, I'm going to do one more set of my total workout! Thanks!!!!
This member inspires me with her obvious gains and her gentle heart. She is willing to assist new comers like me in any way she can. I will be more active on BodySpace reading her blogs!
I know the bars are low glycemic, not sure about them being Gluten free. Hit the NUTRITION facts under the ones you find yummy and see what the ingredients are.
Hey Cindy! U know it's been too busy with Summer for me to keep up with the group. I've still been working out though! I'll post pics shortly. How have u been?
Cindy! Remember how excited you were to begin training? Think about that. I know...I lose my motivation too-we all do from time to time, but you are NOT giving up on your goals!! PHB doesn't allow it! hugs..:)
COMPLETELY! Ignore the scale, seriously. As women, weight is drilled into our age our whole lives. What matters is that you are slimming down, losing inches, and gaining muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat but takes up less space. So, don't pay attention to the #, pay attention to how your body & clothing looks and feels. :)
Thank you so much. I love to hear things like hat you wrote. Believe it or not you inspire me as well. To hear your say you are going to do one more set makes me lifts me up. Its hard for me at time as well. Take care
