When I Started:
Aug, 1999
How I Started:
Day 1 of the Body for LIFE program was August 14, 1999. I don't know exactly what led me into the gym, but I needed it. I used training to recover from domestic violence back then, and most recently it is my salvation recovering from cervical cancer. It was natural for me to compete. I'm competitive and a warrior. My soon-to-be trainer Tony moved to Florida at that time. So once we teamed up, we became invincable. His hardcore training style took my muscle and strength to the next level.
Why I Love It:
I love the stage. As long as I am on stage competing I know I'm not dying. In order to achieve the results I have to do the work. Nothing is more satisfying than finishing a great workout. "Bodies on the floor Sir!"
How I Stay Motivated:
Always looking ahead to the next big competition. I always find ways I need to improve. Seeing other people with bigger obstacles in life than me inspire me to appreciate what I have in life and always strive to reach my ultimate potential.
BB Accomplishments:
IFPA, NGA, & WNBF Pro-cards. "Natural Figure All-Pro". I did try NPC, qualified for the national shows, and did Figure Nationals. The integrity just isn't there. The energy, respect, and sportsmanship is better in the naturals! Natty BB 4Ever!

8.9% bodyfat, smaller medial glutes, leaner hamstrings, inner hamstring definition becoming apparent, back starting to lose size due to lack of heavy training. Best on stage physique to date. Still need to make glutes smaller and come in 1/2 pound leaner.
2009 Competitions are done. Had a great year and I feel very accomplished, especially in the IFPA with a 2nd place finish at Yorton Cup.
Goal (Long):
After being sick in 2008 and taking the year off then going right into diet mode for 2009, I have atrophied quite a bit. I have some muscle to gain back. Also, I've gotten away with not training abs much due to good genetics, but now I do have to work on them for real.
This was by far the most competitive show I've been in, and the highest caliber group of athletes I've ever seen on one stage. Jesse Grand won the two previous pro figure shows, and gave me a run for my money. She got 2nd this time, and was so gracious about it and demanded a friendly re-match...
Hi, honey!! I haven't checked out your page in a long time...I moved to St. Lucie so things have been hectic. Looks like you accomplished so much this year!! Congratulations! You are looking GREAT!!!
I was at the show tonight so I wanted to congradulate you on your win. I videotaped the competition and I'll probably post it up on YouTube so you'll have to check it out.
Your welcome. You have done a great job for the sport. Glad to see your back at 10 on the intensity level. I have a nutriton store in Oviedo so keep me posted on shows your involved with.
