Having that certain someone in my life that shares the same values, ideas , and discipline often helps such a grueling lifestyle and is my motivation. The bodybuilding world is at best very difficult and only few can survive the hard work, dedication and determination that is often required. If you have ever done a "deplete" that we must do a week before a show; that is TRUE discipline. Our world requires you to maintain your physique all year, not just for shows, this makes us available for photo shoots or appearances at events that we frequent year round. Most say they can ...but few actually do, it is a hard road but well worth it, and also my motivation is the mirror - it tells no lies and is always true; the fact that I do not want thunder thighs also helps, I remember those days all to well
Why I Love It:
My Motivation is fear of "BIG BUTT SYNDROME and THUNDER THIGHS LOL
In other words .. I don't want a BIG FAT ASS LOL coming in the door 5 minutes after me LOL
How I Stay Motivated:
I do it, because I can, I can, because I want to, I want to; because you said I couldn't…...................................................................
Bodybuilding keeps me motivated to push on to the next competition and knowing the changes that my body is going through and how I have control to mold and shape myself.

Goal (Long):
Well to be honest - I have reached most of the personal goals that I have set for myself (lose weight, gain muscle, stop eating CRAP well.. still working on the crap part - I have my moments) - however I never did post them here at all, for fear that I wold fail. My major goal, was to compete; and I have done this only three times in the last 9 months. The biggest show that I have done was the 2009 Arnold Amateur Classic, that was a dream for me, although I didn't fair to well in the big scheme of things, I did accomplish one thing, and that was to get on stage to show the what hard work and dedication is all about, there are no excuses, I had them all. If you want something bad enough, NOTHING will stop you from reaching your goals and dreams. Its amazing what you can do !! Just trust and believe in yourself ....
Gene - i must say I come to you page often - for motivation and inspitration - you truly are an amazing individual !!!!and have accomplished so much!! your amazing and keep up the awesome job!! YOU ROCK !
Hi Kat yup two weeks tomorrow. I am still on track no foods now with sodium, posing practice daily and fine tuning with a conditioning coach.
God Bless
Randy
Thank you. Yes, I did it about 90 percent of what you suggested. I substituted true protein ultra quality sodium free whey for tuna, which even the low sodium varieties have sodium. I started carb loading last night for shooting Saturday (sodium free brown rice/yams). Shoot is no big deal. Just me at home. I am sending that into a hot body search on Monday. That will be the big deal. 60 semi-finalists. Yikes. :)
Awww u r! My workouts are really locked in lately! Love it! Getting ready to lean out for a photo shoot in January for my 40th bday! Need to find a top notch photog. How about u? Any comps coming up?
