When I Started:
Sep, 1986
How I Started:
I was in martial arts (Gung-fu) since I was 12. I was on the top of my martial arts game, but, wanted to push my body to new challenges and open my mind to new ideas. I was introduced to Joe Weider in 1986 and that began my muscle development journey to which I am still traveling.
Why I Love It:
With each work out I am renewed/reborn. I shed the limitations of the past and push forward, if even an inch, into new grounds.
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated by looking in the mirror and comparing where I was the day before to where I am now. Then I know quitting is not an option.
To re-invent my body from just a martial artist to an all around athlete.
Goal (Long):
I want to keep the flexibility that I gained from martial arts and increase definition to gain the look and high function of lesser used muscles in my body. I don't look my age and want to enjoy that for a while. I want to keep my body fat at 6-6.5% in my regular lifestyle and develop training, meals, environment and support that will allow me to attain and keep that goal. When I was in my twenties I used martial arts to catapult me into a 'super athlete' capable of many different sports. I want that back as I approach my fifties.
Weight Goal:
I want to LOSE 33 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
6%

Why or why not?
I tell everyone in my circle. That way I don't seem uppity when I refuse to eat/drink something they offer. I get them to respect my lifestyle and goals.
I was able to talk my doctor, she's cool like that, into helping get it together. I found out my current caloric intake needed to sustain my current girth was 2908 calories per day. To lose body fat, I need to reduce my caloric intake to 1908 calories or less. Taking in account that...
