When I was a Freshman in college I put on the typical "Freshman 15." As a Sophomore in 2004 I got fed up and started doing lots of cardio and some weight training. Around Thanksgiving of 2007 I started eating much healthier and I lost a lot of weight. Now I'm hooked! I've gradually moved into lifting heavier and heavier, doing less cardio, and eating more food. I don't want to be squishy anymore! I want to be lean and rock hard!
Why I Love It:
Working out gives me energy and endurance throughout the day, it makes me feel good mentally and physically, and it makes me look great!
Do you track your workouts (exercises, weight, reps, etc.)?

What do you do before your workout to get motivated and energized?
I wake up at 4:45 every morning and I'm at the gym by 5:30. If I am going to be up that early, I HAVE to go to the gym. I just drink some coffee and watch the news to wake up.

How has bodybuilding and fitness helped and/or changed your family life?
My fiance and I have a new bond now. We work out together, eat well together, and discuss our workouts. Our families don't really understand what we do but admire our dedication.
