Because this was wayyyyy more rewarding than the not so great deadlifting performance I had tonight... When I was competing it was never the physical that I had to worry about...the training and diet were the easy part if the mental game was strong. I'm in a whole new world that literally is a roller coaster of emotions- I wake up and I mentally see myself hitting my lifts but now it's the physical that won't follow through. Tonight it was apparent that until I address an inconsistency in my left knee/glute/hip I'll likely never be able to reach full potential with my deadlifts. Basically I'm deadlifting with one leg according to my coach. Took a minute to have a pity party outside the gym before I checked myself with a little reminder: EVERYTHING, all of it each day, the good the bad the ******* ugly- ALL OF IT- is preparing me for what I asked for.....
