Blast From The Past
OVERALL RATING
When people think of others "getting healthy", they often imagine that the man or woman in question was originally overweight... But there's another end of the spectrum that we often forget; because isn't being underweight and malnourished just as unhealthy as being overweight? Do I know what it's like to be severely overweight? No. But I do know what it's like to be so underweight that you faint at a photoshoot from being malnourished. I do know what it's like to watch my porcelain skin flake and break out, paper-thin from not eating enough fat in my diet (because when we're young & naive we think that dietary "fat" means getting fat in real life). I do know what it's like to hear designers and photographers say behind your back that "the red-haired model is too fat for this project" - even though that red-haired model is 20 pounds under a healthy weight for her height. I do know what it's like to hear strangers remark how grossly skinny she is, all in the same day. Whether you're fighting to get healthy from being underweight or overweight, I'm proud of you. Please remember that the ONLY things that matter are 1) your happiness & 2) your health. **Do not let the thoughts of others ever steal either of those away. #SevenYearsAgoButItFeelsLikeALifetimeAgo
