Just to give you guys some idea of why the scale can be bad to focus on. Last week was vacation and I let myself eat anything I wanted. Ran about 6 miles while there but no lifting. I went from 278 when I left to 289 last night. I've completely cleaned up today and ran 3 miles. Right now I'm back down to 282. It would have been very easy to freak out at the 289, but I know by cleaning up I'll be back to 270s in a couple days. Stay focused on how clothes fit and how you feel. Gaining a few lbs here and there while overall losing long term is no big deal. We need recovery time. It's a marathon, not a sprint. Just be better everyday.
