lifting makes you manly
OVERALL RATING
On May 24, 2014 I hesitantly decided to enter the #BPIbestSelf challenge. I was supposed to become my "best self" in a matter of 6 weeks. I started out at 116lbs, and quiet frankly, hated my body. I thought I looked "gross". I had been lifting weights but I wasn't tracking my workouts. I started to dabble in #flexibledieting and #iifym. I had always been a restrictive eater and would binge when I just couldn't take it anymore. I was eating about 1,200 calories a day and was miserable. After the 6 weeks I was down to 105lbs. I liked what I looked like, but I didn't think that was my best self. I wanted more. It wasn't about being a certain weight, now I wanted to be strong. Hello Powerlifting! It's been a year since the 1st picture and I feel like my "BEST" self, still striving for more strength gains. I've competed in 2 Powerlifting meets with meet PRs of: 160lb #squat, 82lb #benchpress, and 204lb #deadlift. I compete in the 105lb weight class, but usually weigh-in closer to 100lbs which I've been maintaining for 6 months! I owe everything to my hard work and consistency lifting heavy **** and eating 200+ carbs daily! Never did I ever think I'd be eating this many carbs!
