Today's leg day was all about the back side...squats are def THE most effective way to building a well rounded lower half however they are not the only way. Every so often I like to toss in an extra day to focus primarily on glutes and hamstrings. Not only is this a weaker area for me in terms of conditioning and symmetry the burn always feels sooooo great after. Today's focus was primarily focused on unilateral exercises. *cable abduction 15-20x 3 *glute kickbacks on extension machine 15x3 No rest/between sets. Alternate between each leg until all 3 sets are complete *single leg lying curls. 15x3 adjust your position of foot each set. Neutral/toe out/toe in to target both inner and outer hamstrings. Control is key with this/keep constant tension. *stiff leg wide stance deads 3x10 *smith machine split squats -light weight. 20x3 per leg. *calf presses on leg press .....ridiculous BURN and I learned it from the best. 1 giant (GFIT) set. 10 rest 15s 20 rest 15s 30 rest 15 s 40 rest 15s 50 rest 15s ....and CRY!!!
