post comp rant ??
OVERALL RATING
So I have seen a few people posting about post comp and it's true not a lot of people post or talk about it. And true this was my first show. I was honestly worried about the post show weight gain I hear about. (20-40lbs of BF for some) I had a good couple of highly stressful (this then made me think cortisol, ugh) weeks at work during this time and it was tough to power through, I still went to the gym despite the fact I didn't feel like it. I started adding in my calories back in slowly and continuing to lift. For me I actually started losing before I began to gain. Yes I still have abs and no I'm not trying to stay at comp condition. I have bf in the normal areas my body holds it and I'm fine with it. ( lower abs, my under butt area, no shame here) I do get comments on "not eating". ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? Yes I do eat. Quite a bit actually. I might not clear my plate at every dinner I eat out (I have never been a big eater, unless I'm starving then watch your fingers and paws off my plate this is going down) I stay satisfied through my meals and don't eat until I'm gut wrenchingly full. I've also been told I need to put on a ton of fat or I won't make any improvements. Why am I going to go through some crazy "dirty bulk" where I'm going to end up gaining too much fat to keep up with. Any where I have heard or seen that, the person ends up completely miserable trying to shed fat and shape up for their next show. Everyone has their own path and responds differently to their choices. Grrrr end rant. ????????
