Ok, so this is me after about 10 months of a hard road back into shape. From smoking cigarettes, binge drinking, and over eating to gaining the endurance to run 9.25 miles in one 1 hr 20 min session. The road has been full of bumps and learning my lessons the hard way. (Including a fractured elbow and many shin splits) I've decided to ditch my long distance running to better achieve my fat loss goals and have taken on a whole new approach to fitness with the help of research from this site. Now instead of being a calorie-counting "cardio queen" I want to transform into a lifting, HIIT cardio, macro-managing machine. And maybe in a years time, I'll have the guts to show of my physique in a competition. Cheers!
