Healthy AF Cake

Calling this little creation my Healthy AF (Angel Food) Cake!⦠haha⦠Whether youâre staying on track with better choices or prepping for comp⦠this may be a useful little gem of a treat. Preheat over at 350 degrees (middle rack). Place 5 egg whites in a large bowl and allow to warm to room temperature (no carton EWâs and they must be warm to set properly!)⦠Once at room temp, use a hand mixer on medium speed until frothy (20 secs). Add 1tsp Cream of Tartar, 1tbsp sweetener of choice (granular like Truvia or powdered like monk fruit/erythritol), and 1tsp vanilla extract. Beat at high speed until stiff peaks form (approx 2 mins). Once formed, slowly add in 1scoop of your preferred protein powder (mine-Clean Simple Eats Cake Batter whey). While slowly adding to your egg mixture, use mixer on lowest speed- donât over mix! Spray oil your chosen pan (nothing too small- batter rises). I used a silicone loaf pan. Bake for 20 minutes. Pull from the oven and allow to cool for approximately 5 minutes. Add what you like! I did 4oz of fresh strawberries and fat free cool whip⦠so yummy!!!! Healthy AF Cake (entire cake!) nutrition basics (without toppings): Calories- 186, Macros- Fat 0.3g, Net Carbs 5.2g, Protein 38g. You can add sugar free jam, blueberries, chocolate protein with sugar free chocolate syrup- endless options. Enjoy! ?
