Memories

Not really a fitness post. Yesterday while we were all together, my oldest sister gave me this. A record album by little home town gospel music singing group circa 1972. The lady that is seated on the left is my aunt. 84 years young & going strong. Was blessed to be able to see her yesterday. The lady seated on the right , the groups lead singer, is my mother. She actually was offered a music scholarship to Vanderbilt, but turned it down. Instead she got married and had us. Wow. Anyway, she went to heaven 4 years ago today. I will always believe she fought to hold o so as to not die on Christmas Day. All I can say is, she was the best mom a guy like me could have had. Miss her every day. Well anyway, hope you all had a very merry Christmas.
