18 Years Old vs 26 Years Old
OVERALL RATING
Left was after a period of binge eating after being anorexic. Iâd spent my whole life being âthe fat nerdy girlâ; constantly bullied at school, with my mum putting me on diets aged 8 years old. So when I got to college, I started trying to diet on my own. I wanted a fresh start, to be âthinâ and therefore âlikeableâ. Unfortunately, it went very much into an ED... which then, in recovery, went into another. The left image was therefore a very down moment in my life. I was the biggest Iâd ever been, with no friends (Iâd lost these when anorexic) and feeling like the future would be utterly shite. Iâd never be âfitâ, or âlikedâ, or successful at achieving a goal. 18 year old Natasha was in desperate need of a hug and a pep talk. So when Iâm wondering whether Iâve achieved anything, I like to compare 26 year old me (current, right) to the left. Found a great fitness plan, finally studying towards what will hopefully be a good career, and amazing couple of best friends and fiancée. Iâm so very lucky... and I never thought Iâd be here today. I think the 18 year old me would be blown away at what can happen when you start doing things for you, and putting your happiness first.
