time for a change
OVERALL RATING
Ever have one of those weeks where no matter what youâve accomplished or what youâve achieved when you look in the mirror you just see your old self? Well that was me last week. It didnât inspire me. In fact it sent me into a tailspin. Then I thought letâs look for inspiration and that backfired. All I could see were posts by big solid strong confident fellas so I got up, took a picture in my new gym gear and did my weekly side by side comparison. As I looked at both pictures my mind wrestled with the same conundrum. Ok, I see that fitter guy on the right but I STILL see the fella on the left. Itâs like is sunny outside but I swear I see rain. I picked up a pair of size 36 jeans and said to myself, you idiot, thereâs no way these will fit and they did. Bottom line. Iâm healthier than I was. When I workout and eat good healthy food I feel better. That should be reward enough. I donât know if Iâll ever look like all those incredibly fit muscle bulls or ever see my abs but Iâm hoping to find some balance between loving my current state and still striving to be a healthier version of me.
