Intermittent Fasting, are you doing right?
IF (Intermittent Fasting) shouldn't always consist of a 16/18 hr consecutive fasted window. For most of us who also want to gain LBM (or not lose it) consider breaking your fast twice within 1-day. While getting 80-90% of your fuel in the 2nd break. After 7-8 hours of sleep, I get in a low cal, micro-nutrient packed smoothie w/ a bit of Whey before fasting another 8+ hours again. This protocol is more optimal for the majority of people who use IF as a dieting method that are not morbidly obese. If you have A LOT of fat to lose, that may be an exception initially, otherwise, consider a mini break to your fast 8 or so hours in, packed with fibrous greens, micro-nutrients / BCCA's / electrolytes / probiotics, etc.. ESP. If you care about internal health (not just external).
