This weekend Iâve overheard some conversations at the gym regarding muscle confusion, and incorporating it in workout routines to maximize muscle building. Here is my take on the subject ... When I hit the rack I try to make as much noise as possible, knocking the weights together, kicking my water bottle, anything that will confuse my muscles. The next thing I do is grunt and scream as I'm lifting. This creates brain confusion, not only for yourself, but everyone else at the gym too, and in turn creates muscle confusion. Youâre basically helping yourself and everyone else at the gym make insane amounts of muscle gains by doing this ... On a serious note, muscle confusion is just a myth. You make gains through progressive overload.
