my mountain
OVERALL RATING
Random rambles: It's been a long week. I'm running on pure adrenaline as I cover both morning and night training while my beyoutiful co- trainer preps for her show, I'm anxious for my team to step on stage this weekend, and I'm grinding harder than I ever have with my own prep. This is my 'tired as ****, need a shower and a nap, what day is it? HAGGARD but GOD I LOVE THIS LIFE' look.... Today someone asked me why I do what I do...the early rise and late night insomnia, the cold meals and constant gym grinds, the Cardio and then more cardio... how come? This isn't a lifestyle for everyone.....even though it seems now a days that this sport is turning more into someone's justification why they train or a showcase of weight loss transformations. I have said it before and I will continue to say it always : you don't train to compete, you choose to compete (maybe) after you have trained your body to a point where it is ready to compete. There is no such thing as balance when you are chasing the top of a mountain. You either decide and DO all that accompanies that DO right to the bitter end. You earn your rest and recuperation once you have reached the first mountain top that YOU DECIDED to climb. You embrace it, learn from it, have a few good laughs, and take a breathe just long enough to regroup, then continue climbing to the next highest peak. I have always had a choice and I choose THIS....why? Because at the end of the long exhausting days its who I am and it's what I'm good at. It's not easy and it's not supposed to be because if it was ANYONE would do it....and I don't want to just be anyone. #chasing2017 #thisiswhatimgoodat #anythingbutaverage
