marks
OVERALL RATING
Couple things about this post A. I apologize for the smidge of underboob happening here #imsurethereis1000xworse....justscrollup B. I purposefully filtered it to accentuate what I'm about to say C. Running around getting kids out the door in this classic Jill get up, my son says to me 'mom I can see those lines on your tummy again'. First assumption is that he is referring to that loose, frumpy, stretch marky piece of area on the bottom part of my tummy. The first place woman's eyes go to when they stand in front of their reflection... the first place women THINK everyone else's eyes go to when they stand vulnerable in front of others. You know that part we all wish didn't exist and NO MATTER how hard we try it just won't go away.....EVER. The place that signifies that this human being partook in a miraculous blessing that gave LIFE. The marks that resulted in growing, nurturing, protecting the complete helplessness of an unborn soul for umpteen weeks. A miracle really, and one that so many woman would give an entire body of loose skin and stretch marks to experience. So I said to him, 'that's your art piece buddy.... you and your brothers created that- my keepsake always and forever'. He looked at me and said 'not those marks, your abs are coming back again. You don't always have those, we are used to the stretch marks mom....' Rather than be at war with your reflection, try changing your 'plan of attack' (perspective) about how you see it. What you see as the wounds others see as battle marks well deserved....#lovetheskinyouarein #momswholift #blessed #chooseyourtude #beyoutifulbeast
