well..... I actually started body building when I was in my early 20's.... I was the aerobics coordinator at GOLDS gym's in Toronto Canada and I started training hard with my boss who was an amazing women..[she kinda took me under her wing] she was very cool. anyways.... [to make a long story even longer....] at that point in my life I was also pursuing my music career as a vocalist slash songwriter and decided to go on the road with this well known rock band in Toronto as their background singer / percussionist. from that point on my life took a huge turn. I got married to a guitar player, had a top 5 dance hit in Canada and then decided to move to L.A. to hit the music scene in a major way. BLAH BLAH BLAH... YADA YADA YADA... 19 years later I encountered life changing realizations.... 16 years of marriage was over and I felt like a NEW WOMEN! that's when I met my boyfriend who has been such a big inspiration to me. He is the one that really inspired me to get back into body building. He started training me hard and introduced me to the world of supplements and nutrition. Whats really cool about this whole turn of events is that all through my 20's and 30's I always knew in my heart and dreamed that I would become a pro body builder in my 40's.... and now HERE I AM... training seriously with my new coach... and plan to start competing at the end of 2011. SWEET!!!
Body Building to me is such a incredible way see how far you can take your body. when you see someone with "yokes" you know that they worked their ass off to get them. the time that goes into the sport and the maturity that allows the body to get stronger and bigger. its a whole world that you submerse yourself into and become apart of. I really love it!
