2001, 8th grade. Been lifting ever since. I weighed 95 pounds and stood at 5'4 as a freshman in high school. I was always small. I was put in many trash cans, and picked on just about every day. Not fun. I hated it. I would always see these giants who lifted at my gym and I wanted to be just like them.
Why I Love it
The journey. Picking up heavier and heavier weights every week. The confidence. Everything.
It's just you and the weight. Nothing else. And if you want, your best friend pushing you to the limits.
"Why do I do this, live with the constant pain, the suffering, the sacrifice? Why? Because I can. Because pain tells me I'm awake. Reminds me I'm alive."
