I'm moving from the bayous of Louisiana to the Emerald City in about six weeks. If you've ever spent any significant amount of time in Southern Louisiana, then you've noticed that drinking is part of every recreational activity. Going camping? I'll bring the cooler, you get the case of beer. Kayaking? Sure! I'll bring the floating cooler, you get the case of beer. Swamp tour? Awesome! I've mapped out a route to include as many bayou bars as we can.
You get the idea...anyway, the diet I've become accustomed to down here is neither something I'm proud of nor something I want to sustain when I move. I want to be fit and happy, and to have the self-confidence required to make friends in my new city. And I LOVE to eat, so I need to counter some of my eating habits with a good bout of muscle training.
So, here goes! I'm on a goal plan that will get me to wear I was, body-wise, before I moved to Louisiana, by the time I arrive in Seattle in July. The ultimate goal is to reach an even higher level of fitness than I previously maintained.
