Initially in the summer of 2008 I decided to do something about my unhappiness with my body and I started researching weight training and started lifting weights. After about 3 months or so of this and some results, I gave up and started running for weightloss. I continued running for just over one year and lost about 20 lbs and became skinny, but still had some body fat. This past winter I slipped on some ice and hurt my knee and decided to start weight lifting again because I needed some sort of physical activity to keep me sane.
So I started again in May 2010. This time I plan to stick with it for good and turn my body into a lean, pleasingly muscular shape.
Working out [whether it running, biking, lifting etc.] makes me feel good in my mind. Its much easier to be lazy because most people are as we can see by today's North American obesity rates so i want to make the effort to look great!
