Started lifting weights in late 2009 when I was in college. I hit over 225lbs by the time of my senior year and started lifting during my last semester. Continued with it after college by making some positive changes in my life. Stopped in 2013 due to relationship distractions, work, and life responsibilities that made it exceedingly difficult to continue working out and I kinda just fell off the bandwagon.
I have tried starting again multiple times, but conflicting information, injuries, lack of motivation, or work got in the way.
Now, I'm kinda restarting from scratch having lost most of the gains I made in my twenties. I peaked at over 270lbs back in 2018. Started walking regularly throughout the end of 2018 going into 2019 loosing roughly 20lbs in the process. In May 2019, I started working on cardio. By the time I started weightlifting again I was at about 252lbs. I'm back down to the basic weight I could lift when I started. My official start again would be 6/24/19.
Why I Love it
The time and dedication it takes is what has drawn me back to it. The outlook to something better for myself.
