I became a policeman in 1972, and was was shot in the leg in the line of duty in 1975. An unfortunate incident, certainly, but it did have an upside. The subsequent rehabilitation led to my involvement in lifting weights and bodybuilding. Within 18 months of the injury, I competed in his first body building contest, the Michigan Championships, placing ninth.

I have a love for the sport of bodybuilding and for health and fitness.
