*High School/ Football
When I trained in High School, I never did research, barely took protein shakes, and basically lifted hard, but not correctly in the weight room. At the end of my senior year, I was about 165 lbs, 5'11", and was pretty cut. Football training got me very explosive.
*The gain
Right after High School, I ended up gaining about 5-8 lbs in fat due to the fact that I did not pursue football and I didn't put my health first. The winter after I graduated, my parents got me training for a month with a trainer at my gym.
*The Turn Around
Since my body fat % was still very low, my trainer, knowing I wanted to gain muscle, told me to eat, eat, eat because of my metabolism. Basically anything with protein. This, along with working very hard in the gym, allowed me to gain about 15 lbs in lean muscle and 10 lbs in fat. This completely transformed the way I looked. Even though I gained 10 lbs of fat, I was more pleased with the way I looked. This was all by the time I was 19.
*Now
I have gained a little more muscle since then but have really focuses on maintaining. I just started cutting to see what I look like now with the same body percentage as before.
