I saw a picture of myself at my sister's graduation and needed to change. I used MyFitnessPal to start cutting calories and then hit the weights.
Thanks to the program and a reprogramming of my thought process when it comes to food, I managed to hit my goal with relative ease. There were a few plateaus along the way, but there was never a step back. My longest plateau lasted 2 and a half weeks but, with the help of one friend, I managed to stay calm and resisted the urge to make a change to what I was doing. Eventually, it broke and I was back to losing pounds.
I was 265 pounds and set a goal of hitting 220 by the end of 2012. I completed it so I set a new goal of hitting 200 by June 2013 while also being able to do a chin up, something I haven't been able to do since I was a kid. Both goals were completed in the third week of March, way ahead of schedule.
I've seen amazing changes in my body and want to see what I could look like. My moobs are gone and I've dropped three suit sizes, I now wear smaller clothes than I did in High School. I've gone from being one of the fattest in the office to the most physically active.
I'm now focused on getting stronger.
